The Wind Waker, released in 2003, is a partial outlier to this due to its divisive art style and character design that stands out against previous games and got some initial backlash from critics and fans alike. The Legend of Zelda is one of the few game series to have many of its entries be celebrated as some of the greatest games of all time with nearly every game in the series being a critical and commercial success. Although not as highly celebrated on launch as other titles in its series, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker carries a strong legacy and is one of the GameCube's trademark titles. A creative fan of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker has recreated the game's opening area using the expansive Far Cry Arcade level editor included in Far Cry 5.
